Police investigate a fatal stabbing early Monday outside a bar in Bridgeport.

A 29-year-old man died early Monday after being stabbed outside a Bridgeport bar, police said.

The man, identified as John H. Hughes Jr. of the 7000 block of Elizabeth Street in West Chicago, was pronounced dead at 2:15 a.m. at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Police said the man was outside Rocky’s on West 31st Street when he was stabbed in the chest.

Police did not release many details and were still investigating Monday morning.
