Break the boring beach routine by sitting on the chair and reading. Instead do a fun activity and rent a jet ski for some adrenaline rush. Don’t forget your life jacket.

A 28-year-old man died Sunday after his jet-ski collided with a boat on Lake Marie in Antioch.

Russell Neeleman, 28, sustained injuries to the arms, legs and head, the Daily Herald reports. He was pronounced dead at Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry.

No one on the boat was injured, and alcohol wasn't cited as a factor in the crash, according to police.  Several witnesses along the shore witnessed the crash, and alerted medical personnel.

Despite efforts to save him, Neeleman was in too bad of shape to be saved.

The weekend’s warm weather caused the lake to be especially crowded.
