Accused Cop Killer's Hearing Postponed

Paris Sadler, accused of shooting police officer Del Pearson, is being held without bond

A court appearance for a 20-year-old man charged with the attempted murder of a Chicago police officer, originally scheduled for Monday morning, has been postponed.

Paris Sadler is accused of shooting officer Del Pearson on March 19. His appearance before a judge for a preliminary hearing at the Cook County Criminal Courthouse is now scheduled for April 17.

Officer Pearson was hospitalized for eight days after he was shot in the chest. Last week, he posted a message online expressing his gratitude to his colleagues and the medical team for saving his life.
