A 19-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday in a popular Wicker Park bar district, just one block from where another man was shot last week. Susan Carlson reports.

Officers said they were on a routine patrol of the area when they heard gunshots across from Nick’s Beer Garden.

The officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

The shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation on the sidewalk, police said.

Gonzalez was positively identified through several line-ups and later charged, according to authorities.
