A suburban Worth man is accused of injuring his mother and killing her dog on Saturday.
Police say Christopher Krentkowski, 35, dragged his mother’s 15-year-old dog out of a bedroom in the 11700 block of South Ridgeland Avenue and began to kick it. When his 53-year-old mother tried to stop, Krentkowski allegedly tried to strangle her and struck her head with a bookcase before continuing to attack the dog.
Krentkowski was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic battery and one count of aggravated animal cruelty.
The suspect appeared in court Tuesday and was held on a $125,000 bond.
