Man Charged With Arson in Logan Square Fire

The fire quickly spread to a neighboring residence, where seven adults and three children lived

An 18-year-old man has been charged with arson in a fire in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood that damaged two homes and left 10 people displaced, police said.

Isaiah Camacho, of the 4700 block of West Deming Place, was charged with one count of felony arson.

Police allege Camacho set fire to a building in the 3500 block of West Palmer Street Wednesday just before 3 a.m.

The fire quickly spread to a neighboring residence, where seven adults and three children lived.

One firefighter injured a leg while fighting the fire.

Police said Camacho was taken into custody near the scene.
