Chicago man accused of pointing a loaded gun at soccer players during the game

A Northwest Side Chicago man faces charges for pulling out a loaded gun during a soccer game.

Police said 20-year-old Jaime Gutierrez of the 3600 block of West Leland Avenue took the loaded weapon from his backpack and pointed it at soccer players near Montrose Harbor early Sunday.

Witnesses told police an argument erupted over the soccer game, and Gutierrez began pacing the field, showing the weapon while saying "I have a gun" to the players and their families. Police said children were also in the park at the time.

Police arrested Gutierrez and confiscated his weapon. The gun was loaded with three rounds, police said.
