A Lake in the Hills man faces two felony charges for allegedly trying to solicit a boy on the internet who turned out to be an undercover detective.
Jeremy T. Mansfield, 20, is charged with Indecent Solicitation of a Child.
Police say Mansfield posted an advertisement on Craigslist seeking a male companion, and started communication with a person he believed was a 13-year-old boy.
Mansfield was arrested after detectives with the Lake County Sheriff's Department set up a meeting earlier this month.
Investigators say Mansfield -- who just moved back to the area after attending college in Washington -- admitted during questioning that his intentions were to engage in sexual activities with the boy.
Mansfield is being held on a $100,000 bond.
Police say Mansfield also admitted to posting similar ads on a variety of web sites and having sex with a 15-year-old girl in Idaho.
