When Michael Jackson died of a cardiac arrest on June 25, millions of fans worldwide were devastated.

So when it was announced that 8,750 tickets for Jackson's Memorial Service would be given away through a random drawing, it is no surprise that over 1.6 million people registered online in hopes of attending the historic event.

Zach Moss, of Buffalo Grove, was one of the millions who applied online. His odds of winning were 1 in 183.

"I didn't think anything of it," Moss said, according to the Tribune. "I was just applying."

At 4:30 a.m. Sunday though, Moss received an official e-mail inviting him and a guest to the 10:00 a.m (Pacific) Tuesday service at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He wrote of his good luck on Twitter.

"Immediately everyone wanted to talk to me," said Moss, who currently works as a DJ in Las Vegas. "CNN, ABC, everybody."

As a testament to the lasting impact of Jackson's music, Zach Moss is only 21 years old. To put this in perspective, several fans probably own LP records from the acclaimed "King of Pop" (e.g., Off the Wall and Thriller) that are older than the young DJ.

Nonetheless, Moss's age doesn't prevent him from enjoying hits like "Thriller" and "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)."

Some winners have already put the vouchers up for auction on the popular web site, eBay, and many bids quickly surpassed $10,000.

But Moss has no intention of selling his tickets.

"These tickets are priceless," he said. "I wouldn't sell these tickets for any amount of money in the world."

Matt Bartosik, editor of Off the Rocks' next issue, remembers putting the needle on the record.

If you're a lucky winner of a ticket to the memorial, please e-mail your pictures and we'll post them on the site.
