Live Coverage of Francis' Inauguration Tuesday

Live coverage begins at 3:30 a.m. on Cozi

The entire inauguration mass of Pope Francis will be available live this Tuesday on NBC’s digital channel Cozi.

Live coverage begins at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday. Cozi can be found on NBC 5.2, Comcast 341, RCN 50 and WOW 130.

The inauguration ceremony on Tuesday will be a morning-long event taking place on the Feast of St. Joseph, which also happens to be Father’s Day in Italy.

As many as 200 foreign dignitaries are expected to attend, alongside politicians, celebrities and thousands from Pope Francis’ homeland, Argentina. Vice President Joe Biden will lead a U.S delegation to Rome for the inauguration.

Thousands of representatives from across Christianity also are expected to attend, alongside members of other religions, including Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Sikhism and Jainism.

During the inauguration, Francis will receive his papal regalia, including a pallium, which is a wool cloak or a mantle. Francis also will receive his “fisherman’s ring,” a new ring cast in gold for each pope as a reminder that the pontiff is a successor of Saint Peter, a fisherman by trade.

However, unlike popes before him, Francis will receive a ring once owned by Pope Paul VI made of gold-plated silver.
