LeBron vs. Wade: Superstars Square Off Over World Series

Chicago Bulls guard Dwyane Wade wasn’t necessarily a Cubs fan growing up, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t going to have some fun with the team being in the World Series for the first time in over 70 years.

Apparently the new Bulls star is going to make a wager on the World Series with former Miami Heat teammate LeBron James, who has adopted the Cleveland Indians as his favorite team during the course of the 2016 season. James just won a title of his own with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but now he’s hoping that his team will be joined as kings of the sports world by the baseball team in town.

Here is the Twitter exchange between the two players:

In an interview over the weekend, Wade said that he admires what the Cubs have done as an organization, and that he hopes the Bulls are travelling down a similar path.

"That team has figured out a way, even during this series when it looked like their back was against the wall, they came out swinging," he said. "They stuck together. You have to support each other. No matter who's on the basketball court for us, who's on the bench, it's all about supporting each other and really caring about the other guy."

There’s no telling what the bet will involve, but we’re betting it’s something better than Chicago-style pizza against Skyline Chili.
