March 1 Marks Last Day to Ice Skate

The last day to lace up your skates and go for a glide at an outdoor Chicago ice rink this season is Sunday, March 1, the park district announced Thursday.

If you miss the chance, Maggie Daley Park’s ice skating ribbon will stay open for an extra week, not closing until Sunday, March 8.

And there’s always McFetridge Ice Rink, Chicago’s only indoor rink open to the public for year-round skating.
