Last 2 Rooftop Plaintiffs Pull Suit Over Wrigley Revamp

A federal judge has granted a request by owners of two Wrigley rooftop clubs to withdraw their lawsuit against the city of Chicago and its Landmarks Commission over the renovation of Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Tribune reports court records indicate Skybox on Sheffield and Lakeview Baseball Club didn't give any reasons for their voluntary dismissal. U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve granted the request last week.

The complaint originally brought by the owners of eight rooftop businesses claimed the installation of signs and large-scale video boards would block their patrons' views of Chicago Cubs baseball games. The number of plaintiffs had dwindled to just the two remaining clubs.

An attorney for the businesses declined to comment about the dismissal of the lawsuit.
