Kankakee Cops Hunt for Possible Murder Suspect

A man fled police Friday morning near Manteno and remains on the loose

Kankakee County sheriff’s police are looking for a person they think is connected with a Limestone Township murder this week.

Police told the Kankakee Daily Journal a man ran from a 1999 Dodge Durango Friday morning west of Manteno. Officers tried stopping the Durango near 2250 West Road in connection with Monday's murder of Tawayne Sharp.

The vehicle fled through a cornfield and crashed into a ditch, according to the paper. All three occupants ran, and two were caught. The third is still on the loose.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kankakee County sheriff’s police.
