A semitrailer truck was involved in an accident on the northbound Kennedy Expressway Wednesday night after it jackknifed and was leaking fuel on the roadway, Illinois State Police confirmed.
All northbound lanes near Addison Street were shut down and a hazardous materials response was called "due to diesel fuel spilled all over the roadway," Trooper James Gawel said.
No injuries were reported and only the semitrailer was involved in the accident, Gawel said.
