A 22-year-old student died Saturday, days after jumping off the North Avenue pier, the Tribune reported.
Keith O’Reilly was walking along North Avenue beach with friends July 16 when he decided to jump in the water around 4:20 a.m. He may have been drinking.
O’Reilly hit his head on rocks when he dove in head-first, police said.
He was on a student visa from Ireland, and lived in Lincoln Park.
