From sickly sweet to floral to grass clippings, an “Irish brewmaster” gives his take on the scents and tastes of America’s favorite cheap wines in a recently published YouTube video.

The BuzzFeed video, a parallel to one of a wine expert tasting terrible beer, offers an entertaining look at the smells and flavors of some of the cheapest wines on liquor shelves across the nation.

In the video, Damian McConn of Summit Brewery in Saint Paul, Minn. samples five different wines including MD 20/20, Yellow Tail, Carlo Rossi, Franzia and Boone’s Farm.

In the comical taste testing, McConn uses phrases like “absolutely ghastly” and “a wee fruity number” to describe some of the wines. He then ranks them using a five-star rating scale.

“We’ve had a lot of fun,” he said. “Some really interesting, and by interesting I mean unique, and by unique I mean truly awful wines. Relief comes in the form of a pint of the black stuff.”

Watch below to see his hilarious descriptions.
