A southern Indiana man was arrested Tuesday morning with a loaded handgun in his carry-on bag at O’Hare International Airport.
Brian R. Hardman, 47, faces one felony count of attempting to board an aircraft with a weapon and one misdemeanor count of unlawful use of a weapon, according to Chicago Police.
At about 8 a.m. Tuesday, the TSA discovered the loaded 9-mm Kel-Tec in Hardman’s carry-on, TSA spokesman Michael McCarthy said. He was en route to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Hardman, of the 1200 block of Longmeadow Way in Evansville, Ind., is scheduled to appear in bond court Wednesday.
