Classes were cancelled Monday at a high school in Merrillville, Indiana, following the diagnosis of two students with the H1N1 virus.
Two brothers who attend Andrean High School were diagnosed Sunday and were discharged from the emergency room that evening, the Northwest Indiana Times reports.
Administrators told the publication they are taking precautions to thoroughly clean and disinfect the high school with a professional cleaning crew before allowing the students to return.
H1N1 virus, also known as the swine flu, is spread through contact with infected people. Symptoms include coughing, sneezing, nausea and a fever of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or more.
