Man Dies Test Driving Car in Kentucky

A 52-year-old Illinois man reportedly ran off a curve Saturday while test driving a 2012 BMW 128i.

Police in Paducah, Ky., say a southern Illinois man has died in a crash while taking a test drive in a car.

The victim's mother was seriously injured in the crash.

The Paducah Sun reported 52-year-old James L. Shelnutt of Goreville, Ill., ran off a curve Saturday while driving a car belonging to Bluegrass BMW. Police said he was test driving a 2012 BMW 128i.

Shelnutt's mother, 77-year-old Sally A. West of Carbondale, Ill, was airlifted to Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
