Illinois Snags 11 $250K Mega Millions Winners

A ticket worth $250,000 was sold at a gas station in East Peoria

Illinois had at least one other big winner in the weekend's record Mega Millions lottery jackpot.

A ticket worth $250,000 was sold at a gas station in the central Illinois city of East Peoria, according to The Journal Star.

That ticket matched five numbers, but not the Mega Ball.

Other $250,000 tickets were purchased at a store at 222 N. La Salle Street in Chicago, at 3201 W. 26th St. also in Chicago and at gas stations in Granite City, Minooka, Rochelle, DeKalb, Rockford, Aurora, Monee and Streamwood.

The three biggest winners of the $640 million jackpot have so far stayed out of sight.

They are to get $213 million before taxes. The winning Illinois ticket was bought at a convenience store in the small town of Red Bud near St. Louis. The others were sold in Maryland and Kansas.
