The grandmother of a child found unattended Monday morning in Homewood faces charges.
Francine Rempson, 69, was charged Tuesday with endangering the life and health of a child.
The 2-year-old boy was discovered by a resident wandering by himself in the 18800 block of Morgan Street at around 9 a.m.
The child's parents were not located until around 4 p.m.
Police said at the time that the boy was supposed to be under the supervision of an elderly caretaker.
The boy was placed in DCFS custody, but it's not clear if he was reunited with his parents.
