Wrigley Field

This Home in Wrigleyville Is Listed at $9.8 Million

A home listed for $9.8 million in Wrigleyville is really depending on its location to secure the sale.

Amy Duong of Jameson Sotheby's Intl Realty is handling the listing for the home located at 3710 N. Kenmore Ave. and touts it as “one of the few properties not yet owned by the Cubs corporation” in its Redfin listing.

"Own a part of history," the listing reads. "Steps away from the proposed open air plaza, hotel, and street faire that all will be open year round. With more night games and Wrigley Field open to more concerts, the zoning for this property opens to many possibilities."

Duong told Curbed Chicago that the seller has been watching the neighborhood closely, taking note of the fact that the owners of the Chicago Cubs purchased the McDonald’s restaurant and parking lot across from Wrigley Field for $20 million.

Compared to the pricy abode, the $1,200 Airbnb listings in the neighborhood during the Cubs' playoffs don’t sound too bad.

For this home though, the monthly mortgage payment would be a near $37,000 a month, according to Redfin's payment calculator.

Real estate is all about location, but do you think the home is worth the asking price?
