"Days of Our Lives" cast will participate in this year's show

    This year’s Flower & Garden Show has turned Navy Pier into a floral runway and features some home-style drama courtesy of a popular daytime soap opera.

    The Chicago Flower & Garden show is the first stop of a multi-city fan tour for the “Days of Our Lives” cast. Actors from the popular daytime soap opera will be in town to talk gardening tips and show off gardens inspired by the show's outdoor sets.

    Saturday, the show will feature a presentation from cast members Deidre Hall, who plays Marlena Evans, and Lauren Koslow, who plays Kate Roberts. Fan will be able to get tips from Hall about growing heirloom tomatoes and discuss owning an organic farm with Koslow.

    On Sunday, the cast will be available for a meet and greet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. along with showing off a new book, “Days of Our Lives: 45 years- A Celebration in Photos.” Fans can purchase the book and have it signed by their favorite actors on the show.

    While the cast will be gone after Sunday, the gardens will remain in bloom at Navy Pier until March 18.The show is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    Admission is $14 Monday through Thursday, and $18 Friday through Sunday, with discounts offered for purchasing tickets online. After 5 p.m., all tickets are $10.
