Police say a man who broke into a home and threatened to sexually assault a woman inside was scared off when sleeping children woke up and interrupted the assault.

The incident happened around 4:40 a.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of West 25th Street.

The man was described as being 29-30 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.
