Police say a man who broke into a home and threatened to sexually assault a woman inside was scared off when sleeping children woke up and interrupted the assault.
The incident happened around 4:40 a.m. Thursday in the 2900 block of West 25th Street.
A man entered a home through a window and attacked a woman while threatening to sexually assault her, police said in a community alert. The man fled the scene after children, who were sleeping at the time, woke up and interrupted the attack, according to authorities.
The man was described as being 29-30 years old, standing 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.
