Hold On, Rezko

Antoin "Tony" Rezko may be waiting to hear his criminal fate a little longer because of the charges against Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Hold on, Mr. Rezko. Your court filing deadlines have been canceled by a federal judge. A status hearing is now set for next week.

It appears the future of convicted political fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko may be in limbo after this week's charges against Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

U.S. District Judge Amy St. Eve had been scheduled to sentence Rezko on Jan. 6, but the corruption charges now facing the governor have put the brakes on it.

Rezko, who was convicted of fraud in June, already had his original October sentence delayed because he was reportedly talking to the feds.

Attorney's for Rezko had asked for a new sentencing date because of issues he was having in solitary confinement at the downtown Chicago Metropolitan Correctional Center.

Rezko remains in solitary because he is considered a high-risk inmate.
