Herman Cain Returns to Chicago Area

Presidential candidate Herman Cain holds fundraiser at Morton’s The Steakhouse

Presidential candidate Herman Cain is in Chicago Monday for a GOP fundraising luncheon.

The former CEO of Godfather's Pizza hosts the fundraiser from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Morton’s The Steakhouse, at 65 East Wacker Place, downtown.

A minimum contribution of $500 is required. For those feeling more generous, there's a Patriot level of $1,000, a Visionary level of $1,500 and a Cain Club level for $2,500 donations. According to his press rep, Cain will be on hand to meet supporters and answer questions.

This isn't Cain's first stop in President Barack Obama's backyard. He also participated in TeaCon's presidential candidate forum last month at the Renaissance Hotel in Schaumburg.

Cain popped into the spotlight after winning Florida's straw poll and ranking high in polls of Republican candidates. He was even on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" touting his "999" plan.

"Herman Cain's message is clearly resonating," said Chicago Tea Party director Steve Stevlic in a statement announcing Cain's TeaCon cameo. "And clearly, Herman Cain recognizes that the best place to keep building momentum is addressing Tea Party activists at TeaCon 2011."
