A 66-year-old woman has died a day after a house fire killed her 7-year-old grandson.

Barbara Scott was rescued from a fire at her home on the city's Far South Side Saturday but died at the hospital on Sunday afternoon, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Her grandson, identified as Omariontae Tucker, was found dead in a crawl space in the unfinished attic with the body of a dog next to him, fire officials said.

An autopsy for Scott is scheduled for Monday morning, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The fire started in the basement, but the cause is still unknown.
