Nearly $200,000 worth of free gowns were given away to military brides at a suburban Chicago boutique this Veterans Day.

Deana Dean is the owner of Volle's Bridal and Boutique in Lake Zurich. She says gowns priced from $1,000 to $4,000 were gifted Tuesday to female veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Women engaged to male veterans also were included in the Brides Across America-sponsored program.

Sarah Childress of Arlington Heights is a college student. She says she couldn't afford such a nice dress when she marries her Marine Corps fiance if it weren't for the program.
