Elderly Couple Tied Up, Robbed in Glenview

$60,000 in jewelry was stolen in the home invasion

Two seniors in their 70s were tied up at gunpoint while their condo was robbed of $60,000 in jewelry, Glenview Police said.

Two men, one wearing a mask and carrying a handgun, entered the home Monday at 1625 Waukegan Road pretending to be deliverymen.

They restrained the man and woman in another room while they took the jewelry, police said.

The men fled the condo. The elderly victims were able to free themselves and call police. They were not injured.

No one has been arrested, and police continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call Glenview Police Detectives at 847-729-5000.
