A hot air balloon became a temporary fixture in Millennium Park on Friday morning when instead of floating in the skies, the huge balloon remained snagged on a lamppost.

The balloon belongs to the marketers of the chewy candy Airheads, which was using the balloon to promote a new marketing campaign.

The brightly-colored balloon is embossed with the Airheads logo and the words, "The World Needs More Airheads."

The balloon had been flying in the skies of Chicagoland all week and its deflated presence near the Tavern at the Park restaurant was all part of a continued publicity stunt, a spokeswoman admitted to NBC Chicago.
