    Chicago shows its greener side today when it celebrates St. Patrick's day in its inimitable way.

    Here's what you need to know for the morning festivities.

    Chicago River goes green:  The worlds preeminent water colorists will dye the Chicago River at 10:45 a.m. This year the river dyeing crew can be seen east of Wabash Avenue and west of Columbus Drive.

    St. Patrick’s Day Parade: The parade is set to start at noon. It begins at the intersection of Balboa and Columbus Drive and ends at Madison and Columbus.

    Street Closures: Roosevelt Road to Randolph Street will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Don’t know where to party in the city? Check out the St. Patrick’s Day Party Guide.
