An Indiana judge issued a gag order in the murder case of a 13-year-old boy.

Court documents show Christian Choate was beaten for several years and kept in a cage before his death in 2009.

His disappearance went unreported until May of this year when a tip prompted police to investigate.

His father and stepmother face numerous charges in the case.

After two years of silence, a scared Christina Choate called her stepsister to tell of how her brother died. Her stepsister, Alyssa Nieto, notified other adults.

The gag order prevents officials from discussing anything related to Choate's death.
