    A truck crash on the Dan Ryan early Thursday morning created a hazmat situation. (Published Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010)

    A HazMat situation on the Dan Ryan is cleared after a truck crash early Thursday morning.

    The fuel tank slammed into a wall on the northbound side of the expressway near 63rd Street and leaked diesel fuel, according to Illinois State Police.

    The Level 1 HazMat situation forced the shutdown of the two left lanes. Lanes re-opened before the morning rush hour Thursday.

    No one suffered injuries. State police are investigating.
