The Shedd Aquarium hosts several Illinois Discount Days in January for residents.
From Jan. 25-Jan. 28, general admission for original galleries is free.
The tourist attraction also will discount special exhibits including Amazon Rising, Caribbean Reef and the jelly fish exhibit.
Residents of Chicago receive a $3 discount every day except for community discount days.
