Four Injured After Car Crashes Into Mariano's

The driver, a woman in her 80s, suffered minor injuries in accident

Four people were taken to hospitals Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle drove into a Mariano’s grocery store in north suburban Northfield.

About 3 p.m., a woman in her 80s drove into the Mariano’s at 1822 Willow Rd., causing “minimal damage to the front of the building,” according to Northfield police.

She, along with three other people, were taken to hospitals with injuries that were believed to be non life-threatening, police said.

Northfield police are investigating what caused the crash.
