Officers Clifton Lewis, Paul Nauden, Paul Baston and Thomas Gesiorski were recognized at a ceremony at Fraternal Order of Police Headquarters.

Lewis and Nauden were shot and killed earlier this year, but Baston and Gesiorski both died of heart attacks and had not yet been recognized.

FOP President Mike Shields said changes have been made to ensure every officer is given the full honors they deserve.

"We have a saying in the Chicago Police Department regarding our dearly departed. It is: We will never forget," he said.

Family members of all four officers attended the ceremony.
