Former Teacher Pleads Guilty To Child Exploitation

Paul LaDuke, 75, was arrested in November, accused of masturbating while teaching his math class at Schaumburg Christian School

A former math teacher received 30 months of probation after pleading guilty Tuesday to sexual exploitations of a child.

Paul LaDuke, 75, was first arrested in November 2011, accused of masturbating while teaching his math class at Schaumburg Christian School.

Several students confirmed his actions to police, and he was fired shortly after.

In December 2011, La Duke denied the charges, pleading not guilty to nine counts of felony exploitations of a child.

LaDuke’s attorney, Irv Seidler, said he had been diagnosed with a brain condition comparable to dementia that left LaDuke unable to control his impulses, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Authorities said he confessed to engaging in similar conduct over the past 10 years, yet no student had spoken up until then.

The former teacher will now be registered as a sex offender for 10 years.
