Former Prep Hoops Star Ordered Back to Jail

Jereme Richmond accused of threatening his probation officer

The tough times continue for a former Waukegan high school basketball star.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Jereme Richmond was ordered back to jail Friday morning for allegedly threatening his probation officer.

Richmond now faces new felony charges of witness harassment and disorderly conduct, according to the newspaper.

He was already on probation for a weapons charge and was in jeopardy of having it revoked for refusing to take a drug test.

Richmond allegedly had an angry confrontation with his probation Thursday and later circled the parking lot in his car making hand gestures in the form of a gun.

The former Illinois Mr. Basketball left the University of Illinois after one season.
