Ready. Set. Eat!
Area food lovers are salivating over Chicago Restaurant Week, scheduled for February 1-10.
More than 250 restaurants in the city and suburbs are on board for the annual event, designed to promote the restaurant industry and drive traffic to the businesses during a slower time of the year.
Each participating restaurant is offering special lunch and/or dinner deals over the 10 days of the event. The prix fixe meals have set prices, $22 for lunch and $33/$44 for dinner.
Officials say 2012's Restaurant Week was the most successful ever, with a 28 percent increase in participants.
