Chicago to Get a Glimpse of Spring

Don't give up hopes for spring weather just yet Chicago.

Although snow flurries showered some of the Chicagoland area Saturday morning and some of the afternoon, the chilly winter temps should spring up into the low 70s by Sunday afternoon.

After a rainy week took the city through a whirlwind of wet weather and chilly temps, Sunday's warmth could give Chicago a needed break and a peak into spring weather.

The warm temps, mixed with rain showers in the morning, will be fairly dry through the afternoon but new rain system could begin late Sunday, according to NBC Chicago's Cheryl Scott.

Don't get too excited about Sunday's warm front, however, as temperatures are expected to drop back into the low 50s as the week goes on and rain will continue to douse the city.
