Flight Attendant Arrested Trying to Take Gun Aboard

Sheila A. Schultz, 65, of the 1200 block of N. Grove, Palatine, Illinois, was arrested and charged with one class 4 felony count of Board Aircraft with Weapon and one misdemeanor count of Firearm w/o Valid FOID, in connection with an incident which occurred at O'Hare Airport on Nov. 23.

A 65-year-old flight attendant was arrested at O'Hare airport Friday morning after x-ray machines showed a gun in her baggage, according to Chicago Police News Affairs. 

At approximately 9:30 am Sheila A. Schultz, of the 1200 block of N. Grove, Palatine, Illinois, attempted to board a plane with a gun in her carry on luggage. She was arrested and charged with one class 4 felony count of attempting to board aircraft with a weapon and one misdemeanor count of of possesing a firearm without a valid FOID.

An American Airlines spokeswoman confirmed to local media that Shultz is a flight attendant for the airline but declined further comment. 

Schultz is scheduled to appear in CBC on Nov 24, 2012.
