Southbound lanes between North and Grand Avenue on Lake Shore Drive were reopen Sunday night, after flash flooding temporarily closed the lanes down.
At around 7:00 pm Sunday evening several cars were completely submerged in water after heavy rains began flooding the lanes. Emergency crews arrived on the scene and pulled several cars out. No injuries are reported. Some underpasses near the area were still flooded Sunday night.
