Five people were seriously injured in a multi-car crash on the Northwest Side early Tuesday morning.

Details are scarce, but reports indicate multiple vehicles wrecked at Belmont Avenue and Pulaski Road at about 2:58 a.m. Tuesday, according to Police News Affairs.

One car slammed into a pole. Rescue workers took two victims to Stroger Hospital, two to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center and one to Mount Sinai Hospital. All the victims were reported in critical condition.

Names, ages and sexes of the victims have not been released.
