No Injuries in Near North Side High-Rise Fire

A furnace was to blame for a two-alarm fire that broke out Sunday evening in a Near North Side high-rise building, fire officials said.

The fire was found on the 19th floor of the building on the 1500 block of North LaSalle Street after 5 p.m.

No injuries were reported, but there was some light smoke at the 24-story building after it was extinguished.

The fire was accidentally started, stemming from a furnace problem, Fire Media Affairs said.
