Fionnuala Britton represented Ireland at the 2008 Beijing Olympics (steeplechase) and 2012 London Olympics (5,000m, 10,000m), and has her sights set on chasing an Olympic qualifying time in the marathon.

Britton made her 26.2-mile debut in 2014 (2:31:46) in Zurich, Switzerland. “I’ve been focusing on road racing in the last few months as Rio is in my sights,” Britton said. “I can’t wait to experience Chicago and try my hand at an American marathon.”
