DuPage County officials are searching for the mother of a dead fetus that was found in a dumpster at the Yorktown Mall in Lombard.
The fetus was found Saturday outside of the mall.
The DuPage County State's Attorney and the Lombard and Glendale Heights police departments are investigating the case.
An autopsy was performed on the fetus but investigators say no additional information will be released pending the results.
Officials did not say whether the identity of the mother was known.
