People who live near the park react to news that a woman was sexually assaulted. Christian Farr reports.

Police are looking for a man who attacked a woman Saturday at Rainbow Beach Park on the South Side Saturday in broad daylight.

The woman was jogging on the trail at about 12:15 p.m. when she was approached from behind by a man who knocked her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

The suspect is described as a black male, around 30 years old, between 6-feet and 6-feet-5 inches tall with a medium build, black shoulder-length dreadlocks and a medium brown complexion.

He was wearing a red baseball-type cap, a black t-shirt, jeans and was said to have a foul odor.

"I walk here all the time. I never expected that to happen," said Marshall Knox, who was walking his dog on the trail Tuesday night. "My mother walks my dog time to time when I'm out of town, but even if they were to do something to him then something to her, that's kind of spooky."

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (312) 747-8271.
