Fans Can Get Their Own Cubs World Series Ring — For a Big Price

Cubs fans have been waiting since November to see the World Series rings, and they got their chance Wednesday

If seeing the beloved Chicago Cubs don their new championship bling at Wrigley Field wasn't enough, fans can now own their own limited-edition World Series Championship ring.

But fans will notice something familiar about the price.

According to Jostens, who designed the players' official rings, the fan rings mirror some aspects of the player design, including the Cubs logo crafted from rubies surrounded by diamonds and saphhires. In total, the "Limited Edition '108' Fan Ring" features 144 diamonds, 55 sapphires and 13 rubies all for a price of $10,800.

Other fan ring options are available for lower prices like $6,500 or as low as $119, along with other World Series-inspired jewelry.

The team was given its official crowning jewels before Wednesday night's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, with fans at Wrigley Field roaring as the ceremony unfolded. That put the final punctuation on a celebration 108 years in the making, one that started when the Cubs beat Cleveland in Game 7 last November for their first World Series title since 1908.

Each 14-karat white gold ring had a total of 214 diamonds, three karats of red rubies and 2.5 karats of sapphires. The top of the ring featured 33 red rubies forming the team's bull's-eye logo, and the bezel featured 108 round white diamonds.

The Chicago Cubs get yet another shining moment as World Series Champions Wednesday. Kalee Dionne reports.

President of Baseball Operations Theo Epstein, Chairman Tom Ricketts, and players like Anthony Rizzo, Jason Heyward and Jon Lester all had input in the design of the rings.

The rings were designed by Jostens, an American manufacturer of memorabilia who also designed the championship rings for Super Bowl 50, the 2015 World Series and the 2015 MLS Cup.
