Social media is helping Illinois tornado victims in their recovery efforts.

Numerous people are participating in a Facebook group called Washington Tornado Recovery, with items ranging from churches and restaurants offering hot meals, to free charging stations for cell phones.

Local health clubs are also offering showers for people to use, and Schuck's grocery stroes are allowing people to store their perishables in marked containers in their freezers and coolers.

The Washington Park District is also offering free daycare.

Another Facebook page, the Tazewell County Photo and Recovery group, is a lost and found of sorts.

It allows individuals to post pictures of photographs, pets and anything else individuals have discovered that doesn't belong to them.
